MY HOME TOWN








My home town is Gampola.💫

As far as I know, everyone knows the city called Gampola.

Gampola is a town located in Kandy District, Central Province.

Actually I love this town. 💖💫

Because It is very beautiful here and the climate is one of my favorite things.

The climate here is a mix of cool and hot.

Surrounded by a mountain range⛰️, it is a quiet and peaceful place where people how lives in.🧚‍♀️

Do you know that Gampola is a kingdom? Yh, that's true. 

Gampola kingdom started after the Kurunegala Era.

The last kingdom of Gampola was King Buwanekabahu IV.🤴

That was also the reason why my town Gampola became famous and the many beautiful attractions here were another reason.

There are........

  • ambuluwawa 
  • old ancient temples 
  • Tea estates
  • Mahaweli river 
  • Asupini waterfall 









But sorry to say that......🥺

The Gampola flood of August 1947 was the worst flood in the history of Sri Lanka 

The incident resulted in many loss of life and property damage.

But the worst part of my topic is the December 2025 flood disaster.

The Mahaweli River overflowed and flooded the entire city.

 Electricity, water and traffic were all disrupted. 

Gampola was severely affected not only by floods but also by landslides.

 Due to this incident the people of Gampola lost their homes and many lives were destroyed.

Any way Now it has been built by the people themselves.

Gampola is very attractive town so I love it.🥰

TIME WITH CARTOONS ✌🏻

         This is one of my favorite activity . This is actually something I do in my spare time. Any kid who likes to watch cartoons since childhood like me. There is no age discrimination. Children love to watch cartoons because they are full of colorful characters, interesting stories and imagination. Anyway, I watched a lot of cartoons when I was a kid. It doesn't matter now, I still watch cartoons. MY UNIVERSITY 👩‍🎓🎓

                           My university is the University of Visual and Performing Arts. It is located near Nelum Pokuna, Colombo. It is the best university for my field of dance. I worked very hard to choose this university for my high school. Finally I got into this university. I love this so much. Now I am studying dance. It is the only university in Sri Lanka that offers only special degree programs in visual and performing arts. I think that my university will help me a lot for a better future.  I respect my university.
