SIGIRIYA🏰
Sigiriya is an ancient stone fort and palace built by King Kasyapa during the reign of 473 - 495. It is about 660 feet high. It is located in the Matale District near the city of Dambulla in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. Sigiriya is also known as Sinhagiri. Sigiriya is a Lion Rock where one has to climb 1200 steps before reaching the Lion Rock Fort at the top. Today, the Sigiriya Rock Fort is known as one of the most famous archaeological treasures and UNESCO named the Sigiriya Rock as a World Heritage Site in 1982 as the "Ancient City of Sigiriya, Sri Lanka". This is a confirmation of the rich history and architectural prowess of this 5th century country. .Rising 200 meters above the surrounding landscape, the rock offers breathtaking views of the lush greenery below. King Kasyapa built Sigiriya as his royal palace and fortress. Especially interesting murals, ruins and complex water gardens can be seen here . Climbing up the ancient steps from the base of the rock and from the lion's foot to the summit is quite an adventure. Today, Sigiriya has become a popular tourist destination. This attracts visitors from all over the world with its unique blend of history, culture and natural beauty.
As well as Sigiriya is one of my interesting explorations.

Good 🥰❤️
